Ben was the only one who won his pick of the day and improved his percentage yesterday. Today, the boys are very confident and a hot streak might be coming. Alex was unavailable to make a pick, so here are Ben, Dylan, and Ryan’s top picks of the day from the NHL, NBA, and MLB, respectively.
Ben Jansen (27-14, 65.85%, +27u): Philadelphia Flyers -140 vs. Montreal Canadians
Despite being in a close 3-2 series, the Flyers have been the much more dominant team the whole series and it’ll show tonight. Look for Philadelphia to flex their muscles on Montreal tonight and clinch a spot in the next round.
Dylan Kelly (8-7, 53.33%, +1.75u): Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers Over 217.0
The Sixers have yet to find a way to stop Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics, and there’s no reason to think this will change tonight. I fully expect the Celtics to have another big scoring night and I think Philadelphia will put up a lot of points of their own as they try to keep up with the Celtics in a must win game.
Ryan Kelly (7-6, 53.85%, +0.65u): Minnesota Twins -1.5 vs. Kansas City Royals
The Twins are a great value pick tonight against a weak Kansas City Royals team. While Jake Odorizzi (5.14 ERA) has struggled in his first two starts of the season, he is facing a Royals lineup that is, to put it nicely, not very good. This is a great game for Odorizzi to bounce back and gain some confidence, but even if he struggles again, the Twins offense is more than capable of single-handedly winning this game. Danny Duffy (4.44 ERA) is taking the hill for KC and he’s been average at best this season, which won’t be enough against the elite Minnesota lineup.
