Wednesday’s parlay was an utter disappointment. Ryan and I didn’t carry our weight, but we will be better. Picks from Ben and Alex improved to 2-0 yesterday, while Ryan and I dropped to 1-1. Today we bounce back and present to you the third edition of our Shouldn’t Lose Parlay.
All spreads and odds are based on BOVADA, at 1:20 AM on December 4th. Lines may have changed by the time this article has been posted.
Wisconsin -4.5 (-105) vs. Marquette
Alex’s Pick (2-0)
Wisconsin comes in after a big 40 point win against Green Bay and faces their first true test of the season. Marquette is still a new team trying to find there way without Markus Howard so I still can’t see them being all there yet. Wisconsin is too good of a team and a top 5 team, this line is simply too low for the Badgers to not cover.
Mississippi State -3 (-110) vs. North Texas
Ben’s Pick (2-0)
After two losses to start the season the Bulldogs got in the win column against Texas state. Today they face a better North Texas team, but should still be able to control the tempo and get the win in a dog fight.
Wisconsin vs. Marquette over 134 total points (-115)
Dylan’s Pick (1-1)
The last four games between Wisconsin and Marquette have hit the over. Therefore tonight we are riding with the trend. Wisconsin has been over 75 points in each of their first three games this year, including a 92 point total against Ark-Pine Bluff. Wisconsin will at least score 75 in this game, meaning to get to the over Marquette only has to chip in 60 points (which they will). Hammer the over in this one.
Long Beach State +7.5 (-110) vs. Loyola Marymount
Ryan’s Pick (1-1)
After their season opener against UCLA was postponed, the Beach will finally begin their season tonight against Loyola Marymount. Yes, LBSU had a lackluster season last year, going 11-21 overall and 6-10 in conference. However, the Beach brings back all three of their top scorers from last season as well as the addition of Iona transfer Isaiah Washington, a point guard who you can expect to control the pace of the game and set up his teammates for success. As long as they can contain Eli Scott, I think the Beach can keep up with LMU and keep it close all game
