Bubble Preview
The Sixers come into the bubble as a team that holds a lot of healthy players and depth. Currently they are currently tied with the Pacers for the 5th seed in the East and have a chance to move to the 4 seed as they are 2 games back of the Heat for that spot.
The bubble doesn’t sit up for the 76ers as they are one of the worst teams on the road in the NBA. Without fans, they may be able to play slightly better, but not having the Philly faithful might hurt them more. They were 29-2 at home and just 10-24 on the road which makes you wonder how well they’ll play in the bubble.
If they can perform well without their fans they have a serious chance to be a dark horse contender at +2000. They are 3-1 vs the Celtics, 1-2 vs the Bucks, and 1-2 vs the Raptors. Now, the record vs the Celtics is extremely good and then they certainly have a chance vs the top 2 teams in the East.
Not only their record vs the top 3 teams in the East, they are just slept on overall. Last year they took the NBA champs down to the last second in game 7, ultimately losing on a Kawhi game winner. The Sixers still have that similar team just exchange JJ Reddick for Al Horford so there’s nothing saying they can’t advance through the East. They’ll have no problem making the playoffs and with a healthy Embiid and Simmons they can make a run.
